Why I Believe Bruce Willis Did Not Fake His Own Death

Recently, as you may already know, there have been some rumors circulating regarding Bruce Willis. I've received numerous emails from friends and strangers trying to convince me of this story that I now know to be ridiculous. It goes as follows:

In 1999, following the success of The Sixth Sense, Bruce Willis was worried that he would be typecast as "the psychiatrist". Afraid to limit himself to such roles, Mr. Willis desperately looked for a way out. With no reasonable solution, he decided to leave the film industry altogether. However, he was strongly advised by his associates to reconsider. Supposedly, Bruce Willis cracked under the pressure and faked his own death in order to live on, outside of Hollywood. He's supposed to be living a quiet life now on a remote island somewhere.

After my fifth reading of the email, I realized there wasn't any merit to a single word of it. After hours of research, I realized Bruce Willis has starred in several movies AFTER 1999, including Unbreakable (2000), Sin City (2005) and Live Free or Die Hard (2007). This may not seem relevant at first, however, you may recall that The Sixth Sense was, in fact, released in 1999. A common counter-argument is that every movie released after The Sixth Sense was actually filmed before 1999 in order to keep up the illusion that Bruce Willis was still alive. I was ready to accept this answer until I realized something: Why would Bruce Willis create the illusion that he was still alive, when he wanted the world to believe he was dead?

Finally, in an act of desperation, the "Bruce Willis Faked his Own Death"-believers cite the following email as evidence:

"To: From: Bruce Will Subject: My mortality Body:

Hello,

I am dead.

Sincerely, Bruce Willis"

You may not see anything wrong with this at first. Take a closer look though. If Bruce Willis wanted us to believe he was dead, would he be sending emails? Also, with the resources available to him, one would assume that Bruce Willis is capable of accomplishing the illusion of death with something more than just the statement, "I am dead". Note also that the believers do not provide any information as to how this email was obtained. I strongly suspect that its a fake.

Hopefully, we can now put these ridiculous rumors to rest. Bruce Willis is in fact alive and is not trying to hide the fact.
